About The Event

This week in our oldest ally, France, a run-off election pitted President Emmanuel Macron against National Front leader Marine LePen. As the War in Ukraine continues and as Europe appears to be engaged in a land war for the first time since WW11, the results of this election will be watched carefully: Macron is a defender of NATO while Le Pen is not a fan.

Other issues divide the two and the election has been analyzed as a contest like our own in 2020; Macron the moderate and a Biden and LePen a conservative and a Trump.
